So on my current project, I have 3 people on my team (2 from India and 1 from Manilla) I am looking into working on a project overseas and Manilla is actually one suggested option. Who knows, maybe I’ll get to go there.
Anyway, I had a fun cultural experience today. One of the guys from India was in a meeting and I noticed that every time he said yes, he shook his head instead of nodding it. I was confused initially, it was the perfect example of people that said one thing and did something else but this time it was literally and in a good way. I pointed it out to him and we had a good laugh about it.
I have to admit that my team seems to be really cool. I hope we can find time to hang out or grab lunch together sometime soon. I think other cultures are fun and I guess that’s one of the many reasons I want to venture out to other places
