One of my Best Weeks Ever

I dont think I typically have a best anything but I have to admit that this past week (11/26 - 12/1), has to be one of my better weeks. No, I did not win the lottery or get any other major luxury. But what made this week really good for me is that I met and hung out with "new" people.

It started with the older guy that I met on the plane on my flight out on Monday. He shared stories about life and what he's learned and how its important to enjoy life and to live it with no regrets. We talked about anything and everything; Family, sports, finance, education, relationships, movies, thanksgiving, marriages and singleness... I learned a lot and it felt good. After about a 2 hour conversation on my 3.5 hour flight, I finally went to sleep (considering I would be heading directly to work when I land and I got up at 6 am to catch my flight). Oh yeah, I found out I actually get motion sickness sometimes (Yeah, it took me 3.5 years of flying to figure that out.. Go Figure). Anyway, it felt really great listening to his stories/advice. It really brightened up my day.

Work week was good. I guess work hours havent been bad recently so I dont have much to complain about in this department. I got a mid-year review and I think I like the way things look from here.

Friday, I got to hang out with my girlfriends from work. We went out dancing and I had a great time. I cant even think about the last time I went dancing... speaking of which I've slacked off on my belly dancing lessons, I need to get back into the swing of things with that one.

Saturday, I met up with a new friend of mine and we went to explore San Franciso some more. Again, its a new friendship, new stories, new perspectives, new things to learn. I got to see another side of the golden gate bridge from Marin Headlands, hike for a little (and yes it is official, I am out of shape), went to a nice little coffee shop called "coffee to the people".... awesome atmosphere (I'm guessing their coffee is great but I dont drink coffee) and finally to Ghiradelli Square....Mmm.. amazing chocolate(If I keep this up, I'll be 9324930934709328409392483298 lbs overweight).

Saturday night, I went to a birthday party and I won some cool gifts (iTunes, Best Buy and lets not forget about the cookies....mmmm). I got to meet new people, old friends, network, socialize, dance, eat and win prizes :)... Yay. Maybe I should have played the lottery this week.

Sunday, was also fun. Went to church, to lunch with friends and did some shopping. Boy wasnt I excited, I found some things that I've been searching for for a while now.

So what made it great, I guess it was one of the first few weeks that I didnt have any major plans, it was a week of living for the moment, a week of meeting and spending time with new people, a week of learning about others and in the process learning about me. It was a week that things seemed to fall in place... perfectly without me orchestrating anything. The only thing I would have changed about it, maybe that I missed a text message about a break dancing competition and I've been really lookingforward to going to one. Hopefully that would happen soon. Anyway, I wrapped up the weekend with a night in my room watching Ratatouille.
Okay, its back to reality now.... Work demands my attention
