Okay so I am gradually sinking in the idea that I will not be going to Asia this month. I think I have looked into almost every possibilty but for some reason it seems like this month won't work out. As I am sulking through this thought, I am at the airport getting ready to board my plane when this guy comes by and we end up talking about Asia. He had just come back and he was sharing how much I would love the places and how I must visit Bangkok and then Hong Kong and Shanghai. So I was proud to say that it is on my must do this year. He is actually the second or third person I've met that was just on his way back from Asia. I can smell it, I am getting closer to going :)
Anyway, I land in Dallas and I get into the cab, I am tired as crap because the red eye only give you 3.5 hours sleep and I am not a morning person but my cabby was actually pretty friendly and he wanted to talk and he shares his story. He is half Egyptian, half somalian and I told him that I am thinking about going to Egypt. Share that I am Nigerian as well. He for some reason took it well (I know its not a big deal but i learned that Nigerians are not the most loved by other African countries) and he started sharing all the hots spots in Egypt and why I must go. He tells me about his Nigerian roomate friend and his personal story in the 20 mins ride to my place. Well he also teaches me some Arabic phrases. and I was so sure I wrote things down but hey if I mess up, I think my spelling is close enough to the real words so I am good.....

Yeah so thats the end of my arabic lesson at least for today. I'll pick up a few more some day.

Egypt may be next year 2008 or 2009. I need to find someone who will be interested in doing the trip with me... (I'm a chicken)
Asia, I want to go this year. It all depends on if my friends are still up for it. Do you want to go? I figured its a trip you would like to make as well.. Let me know :)
