The "A"

Today is one of those good days…. You know, the kind that nothing too crazy happens and nothing necessarily too special happens but yet you still have a good day. Maybe it was the fact that I got to go back to my adopted city (Atlanta) this weekend. I don’t know what it is about that place that gets me all fired up. Yeah, this was a last minute hush trip that I took and I didn’t really get to see a lot of my friends out there but regardless I got to stop at one of my favorite hot spots Café Intermezzo…. Mmm… Not sure what gets me all fired up about the place, maybe it’s the atmosphere – good music, picture slide show, the lighting – so peaceful, so intimate or the fact that it has a European/French feel to it. Or like N.K and I believe, maybe it’s because it has the best selection of desserts (I learned that they change their selection pretty much on a weekly basis). Whatever the case, The café is a must visit.

Anyway, I love that city. Maybe it’s because I became more like the woman that I want to be in my 1 year 7 months time frame when I lived there. Or the fact that I lived in a state by myself with no relatives close by. Something about the city, the fact that a lot of major artists make it a point of duty to stop by there while on tour, or the fact that there are always a million and one things going on every week or the fact that it caters to a myriad of cultures. Regardless of nationality, Atlanta caters to everyone.

It is one of the few cities in the South that has a pretty decent transportation system depending on the side of town that you live in. If you love to eat, you’ll definitely find any type of traditional food. There is always something new going on in Atlanta. I remember visiting the Aquarium (Don’t quote me on this but I believe they had mentioned it was the largest in the world) when it opened up like 2 years ago.

Typically I do really fine thinking about the place but then visiting the city actually makes me want to not fly back home J. I guess depending on where life takes me; I may end up back in ATL.

Oh yeah, I found a new spot this weekend as well - Eclipse, while strolling around waiting to be seated at the café, we heard a band play some Spanish songs, at a very nice outdoor/indoor restaurant. I’ll have to check it out whenever I go back to visit. Hopefully soon!
