Seattle was good to me

And so was the weather. Okay so after I figured out that between Erin (the birthday girl) and her roommate, they have 2 cats and a dog. (So yeah, I had talked about getting over my fear of animals but I dont know that I am quite ready to be under the same roof with 2 cats and a dog). Anyway, I end up staying at this fancy hotel called Edgewater. It was right by the bay and the view from my room was amazing. So I fly in Thursday after a hard days work and Erin picks me up. I was very happy to see her because she has been doing really well for herself. We catch up and reminisce about our old project days with my friend David who is also doing big things and working on a really cool project. Everyone was tired so we didnt get to do anything on Thursday night.

Friday was great, I get to hang out all day with David since he has the day off to sight see. We visit Pike Place a.k.a Market St. and get to see the the store owners set up, we sat down for breakfast and then went to a magic shop. We saw a couple tricks and David bought some cool things. We, walked to the monorail station and take a short ride to the space needle, we go up to see Seattle from the top and I realize that seattle is a pretty small city. I mean yeah I am from Texas where everything is big but in comparison to other cities I've worked in..... Seattle is small. We leave, went to the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop to see mummies and abnormal animals and then went to a couple parks. I got to do some hiking before I get to the beach, it was not for long (app. 30 mins or so) and David actually allowed me lead for a while, I am such a chicken. We make it through the forest to the beach and while David is practicing his magic tricks, I get to relax... okay so I tried to... but there were dogs on the beach (so what if they are not close to me, they are not on leashes)... We head back and have just enough time to arrive at the Argosy Cruises for a fine night of dining on the cruise. It was amazing, yeah it was pricey but its still one of those things you need to experience especially with good company.

After dinner, we head over to club Trinity to meet up with Erin and 2 of her friends. The club was nice, good music in 3 different rooms plus Erin's friend paid for us to get in... that was cool. I get a few flattering compliments :)

I wasnt feeling too well on Saturday but I got to escort David to the airport after we grabbed some breakfast and ate it at the water front. I grab lunch with Erin and her mom and aunts, and they are really cool. We later went to Triple Doors (a nice jazz bar in downtown Seattle) to celebrate Erin's birthday. I got to meet some of Erin's friends and we just talk in general. I had a doctor come chat me up for a while, and that was nice... Anyway, all in all I had a blast. It is Sunday and I am now on my way back to Cali to prepare for another hectic work week.
