Chris, a cool dude (oh wait, like the British say, mate) I met at accenture training earlier this year invited me out with some other Accenture coworkers. They were meeting up at Charlotte in Camden to celebrate 2 peoples birthdays. After i decoded his text message from all the british slangs, thanks to my cousin who became my personal translator.
I am on the mend - I'm feeling better
You Keen? - Are you game? Are you up for it?
I headed out with my friend Soji. I have to admit that it was nice being out. M

y first impression, this place is old. Not old nasty but the buildings are older. If i lived in new york then i would be used to it. Ii am from the south, Texas to be exact where people rarely buy anything but brand new just built homes. I am a traveller so I'm somewhat exposed to this. It was really nice to see Chris. He is doing really well for himself and we got to talk and chat about life and what he is up to and I found out that he is also according to accenture "engaged". We talked about my first thoughts and how I was adjusting to the "warm" Brit attitude. I think its funny that he mentions that on his first trip to the U.S that he was shocked at how well people were treated especially from customer service people in the store. I quote him "It's almost like people are nice with an intention like they want something". Soji and I finally leave at 11PM or so and head to Leicester square, again, more new york comparison, the place is like Times Square. The lights, ads, the people up at this time of the night and the many places still open. I'm obviously tired at this time, so we didnt stay out too long remember this is my first day. I had a good time though. I really really really did. so thanks Chris and Soji....
