California Girl

Okay so I have been in California for about 10 months now (2 projects back to back (Folsom – Close to Sacramento, and Concord – Close to San Francisco). It’s amazing how time flies. Anyway, before I started working in Cali, my travel crew (Bola and Jibola) and I had visited San Jose and San Francisco and we had a great time. But ever since I’ve been here for work, I’ve not had time to actually explore the city(Actually, I've had a fun weekend, Erin, Bola and I went wine tasting, went to see lake tahoe (Pic of Bola and Erin and I at Lake Tahoe) - and fishermans wharf all in one weekend).

This week however, my ex-roomie (Michelle) from my Folsom, CA project (who is working in San Francisco - approximately 30 minutes from me), was on a very short project and we found out that she was rolling off this week. We decided to hook up on Wednesday night for dinner. I drove down and she suggested a nice, cozy Indian Restaurant (I don’t know why but for some funny reason I’ve not had Indian). So we go to Chutney’s, a nice little restaurant that serves phenomenal food. Apparently, it is only well known by the locals and every once in a while they get very famous people there. We seat down and catch up on life, what’s been going on with us since we both rolled off the Folsom project 2 months ago. Life, Finance, and Travel plans are some of the few things that we discussed. A couple guys (an Indian and a Persian) walk in and they asked us to join their table, we end up talking about life in Iran. Anyway, Major Shout-Out to Michelle, I think you are really, really cool, I miss torturing you with my “wonderful” voice in the apartment after a stressful day at Work.

About the trip to Iran, I think we can pull it off as long as you don’t tell my mother where you are taking me and as long as you plan to visit Nigeria with me some day.

I have to admit that the more I explore downtown San Francisco, the more I like the city, I think I am more of a city girl than I realize. Anyway, I had a wonderful night. I thought it was funny that on my way back to the hotel while I was reminiscing on the fun night and the fun city, California love by Tupac comes on the radio…

California Girl – Take Two
So on Thursday, following the Michelle Hang Out night, I am back in downtown San Francisco, Ify and Oputa are in town and I go visit them, I was thinking we would do a nice fancy dinner but by the time I get there it is late, it’s raining and I am tired. We decide to go to dinner at a bistro close to their hotel and we had a great time, just catching up. Again life, childhood stories, some sport and what it is like living in England for him and suggestion on places to visit when I make it out to London. So I don’t have their picture but shout out to you guys I had a great time.
